I woke up yesterday with a dull chest pain on the right side under my breast, it is about 1cm above the breast bone. I thought maybe i slept badly but the pain came back later several times, lasted for a few seconds each time. And again today it has been on and off. It doesn’t really hurt, it is just a dull pain but it worries me. What could cause this type of pain? Could it be a cyst in my breast? Liver problem? Lung problem? I am 39, don’t smoke, and not overweight. Thanks!
I am a nursing student. I recently studied the causes of pain in the thoracic region (chest). If the pain is on the right side it is not your heart and could most likely be gallstones because that is where your gall bladder is located. You should probably get it checked out just to see.
